DOA POLICY

At Trippy Fish Aquatics, we take every precaution to ensure that your aquatic livestock arrives in healthy condition. However, unforeseen circumstances during transit can sometimes lead to losses. Our DOA policy is designed to provide fair and transparent resolution in such cases.

Coverage & Eligibility

This DOA policy applies only to live fish, invertebrates, and aquatic plants purchased directly from Trippy Fish Aquatics.

Claims must be submitted within 2 hours of delivery, based on the timestamp from the shipping carrier. Any DOA submitted after the 2 hour mark voids DOA.

DOA Claim Process

To file a DOA claim, follow these steps:

1. Take clear photos of

  • The unopened bag showing the deceased fish.
  • The deceased fish outside of the bag on a clean surface.
  • Shipping label and packaging.

2. Send an email to TrippyFishAquatics@gmail.com with the subject line:

  • DOA Claim - Order #[Your Order Number].
  • Attach required photos and include your full name, order number, and a brief description of the issue.

3. Claims will be reviewed within 24-48 hours, and approved claims will be eligible for a refund or store credit (shipping costs are non-refundable). If you would like the same product we will replace it, but buyer is responsible for shipping.

Exclusions & Limitations

We do not offer refunds for shipping delays caused by the carrier.

DOA coverage does not apply if the recipient fails to acclimate livestock properly.

No refunds for DOA due to extreme weather conditions where shipping advisories were provided.

We do not cover deaths that occur after the fish is introduced into your aquarium.
